1. K. V. Umroi Cantt's New School Building Inauguration Function : The school building inauguration function drew special attention of all and sundry after the inauguration function presided by the Commissioner of Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan Shri. R. L. Jamuda, I.A.S. The whole campus of the Vidyalaya looked like a newly wedded Queen. The Chief Guest of this function Mr. R. L. Jamuda, I.A.S. arived at 9:00am along with Guest of Honour Mr. U. N. Khaware, Assistant Commissioner, Mr. S. K. Verma Education Officer KVS Guwahati Region and Col. S.P. Bhosle C.O. 15 Jat Nominee Chairman of VMC. The environment is of festive with the beating of army drum tunes at the background, which added the flavor of courage and firmness to the spirits of audiences. At the entrance of the school building, the engraved stone was unveiled by the Chief Guest. The students and teachers presented a cultural program which enlighten the moment. The Honorable thanks the representatives of APPWD Deptt. for putting the marvelous infrastructure within the stipulated time as well as expressed his sincere thanks to Army authorities for co-operating and the efforts taken for the completion of construction work. The main concern was devoted towards the expected results of KVS. The Vidyalaya has achieved an excelled in all the fields and its hidden potential are brimming in every nook and corner. The Principal Mrs. J. Lakra at the end of the function extended Vote of thanks to all the guests and audiences. A light refreshment was arranged at the Library for the gathering. The Convoy of Guests were lead for Tree Plantation which left a permanent growing symbol of Progress. The day become a historical date in the History of K. V. Umroi Cantt.

2. CBSE Result 2010 - The CBSE Result of XII^th Class and X^th class of this Vidyalaya is 100 %. Master Avneesh Kumar stood First by scouring 84% Marks in XII Sci. and Master Sanjeev Rai stood First by scouring 81% marks in XII Arts. In X^th Class Master  Divya Prakash stood first by scouring 93.1 % Marks.

4. Science & Social Science Exhibition 2009 - In social Science exhibition the two students of this Vidyalaya Master Avneesh Kumar, Master Divya Prakash was selected for national level Quiz competition. In Regional Science Exhibition 06 students participated with different models and 01 Model of Proving Pythagoras Theorem Practically By Master Abhay Patil  was selected for National Level Science Exhibition 2009 to be held at Chennai.

5. CBSE Result 2008 - Two students Ms. Ankita Sharma & Avnish Kumar Singh who score more than 90% marks in aggregate in class X CBSE Exams were rewarded with HCL Laptop by the Chief Minister Of Meghalaya Dr. Don Kupor Roy.
